Choosing your plan

We offer 3 different plans: the 3-month, 6-month and 9-month follow-ups.

These lengths have been thought through so that you can reach your weight goal according to the number of kilos you have to lose.

To get a clearer idea of which plan you should choose for your goal, we invite you to take our free test  offered on the home page of our site.

You will find a fairly precise steer on the length to choose given your own situation. It is only a recommendation: in every case, you remain free to choose your plan.

If you wish to carry on with the Food Monad at the end of your initial follow-up period, certain offers will be open to you again.

The 3-month follow-up is the shortest plan we offer. As we have already pointed out, the Food Monad is not a diet; it is a know-how. Some users have told us they see it as a philosophy of life. This 3-month period matches the minimum time needed to take in properly this new relationship with food that the Food Monad amounts to.

So whatever the number of kilos you wish to lose, you will have to opt for the 3-month plan and think of those 3 months as a period of re-education. But rest assured, there is nothing painful about this re-education — quite the opposite.

Of course. Once your initial journey has come to an end, you can consider an EXTENSION of your FOLLOW-UP.

  • If you opted for a 3-MONTH plan, at the end of that period you can carry on by opting for a new 3-MONTH or 6-MONTH plan.
You can also opt for 1 extra MONTH, renewable twice.
  • If you opted for a 6-MONTH plan, at the end of that period you can carry on by opting for a 3-MONTH plan.
You can also opt for 1 extra MONTH, renewable twice.

Two weeks before your follow-up ends, you will receive an email explaining the various options open to you.

How the follow-up works

Signing up to the Food Monad gives you access to your personal area. You will reach it once you have chosen your plan and gone through the following 3 steps:

-Downloading the Food Monad book,

-Reading it and being tested on its content,

-Choosing your start date.

Once that last step is behind you, you will reach your private area and discover your dashboard.

Then, for the whole length of your follow-up, that private area will give you access:

  • To your schedule, set according to your start date and the length of your follow-up.
  • To all the personal information you will be asked to enter, and the simple data to pass on to us throughout your journey.
  • To very useful tips that you will unlock as your follow-up goes on. They expand on, and solve, the particular situations you are bound to come across along the way.
Your personal area is reached from the home page of the site, through the « Sign in » menu. You will then need to enter the email address used when your account was created, along with the password you chose.

Your whole follow-up takes place from your dashboard.

There you will find the various sections as well as the audio recordings from your coach, who will tell you everything you need to move around your personal area.

The actions you will have to take will be clearly explained.

Most of them are weekly, a few are daily.

We have done everything we can to make each action simple to carry out and to take as little of your time as possible.

Some actions are strongly advised, but you remain entirely free to choose the ones that suit you.

Ending your journey early is not recommended.
However, should a serious health problem arise during your follow-up, we invite you to read our terms and conditions of service
On production of a medical certificate, we will refund you pro rata to the follow-up time completed.
You may also ask for your account to be closed by getting in touch with us directly .

Generally speaking, applying the Food Monad will only take you a few minutes each week. What you will have to do is so undemanding that it will very quickly become a habit and you will no longer even notice it.
Many users say the programme unfolds rather like a game.

You will nevertheless be able to visit your personal area as often as you like. You may fill in certain actions every day. But the only fixed point is the weekly appointment. There is a small check-up to do at the end of each week about your information for the week just gone.
That is all.

Results and what to do

Depending on your age, your height, how much excess weight you carry, the length of the programme and the personal choices you make at the start, results will not be the same for everyone.
But whether it is to lose only a few kilos, or to reduce your body mass by 30 kilos, the Food Monad follow-up programme is entirely suitable.

We give you more tailored pointers when you take our free test .

You can also read about the journeys of other people who, before you, wanted to lose weight with the Food Monad method.

What matters is that, by the end of their journey, everyone gains complete mastery of their relationship with food — and that is generally what happens.

It has to be said first that it is exceptional to find an « eating plan » where you are told before you start: « Careful, you may lose more kilos than you originally wanted to! ».

The Food Monad brings about a considerable reduction in weight. That loss takes place over several weeks or several months.
But whatever the number of kilos to be lost, it is true that, if you are not careful, you can go past the goal set at the start of the programme.

Tips are given throughout the follow-up so that you can handle, quite simply, the stabilisation phase that follows the weight-loss phase. That way you can stay alert and keep the goal set at the start of your follow-up in sight.

No additional physical activity is required for the length of your follow-up. That is an extremely appealing feature for people who are not sporty and who wish to take up the Food Monad programme.

But of course, sport is recommended once weight loss reaches and goes beyond 10 kilos. To stop muscle wasting away alongside fat, it matters to work the muscles. And for that, there is nothing better than taking up physical activity again, or stepping it up where a sport is already being played.

Generally, most people do so all the more naturally as they feel more mobile the more weight they lose.

The Monade Alimentaire — what it is

If we had to name the 3 advantages users of this method mention most often, they would be these :

  • How easy it is to apply. Throughout your journey, what you are asked to do is always extremely simple to put into practice.
  • Its effectiveness, which makes it possible to lose a great many kilos where there is considerable excess weight. What is more, results come quickly : in the very first week it is common to lose up to 3 kilos and, if the method is properly followed, 1 kilo a week in the weeks that follow. The weight curve falls in a straight line.
  • It is a method which, in the view of most users, brings neither frustration nor constraint — which, where diets are concerned, is a major asset.

There is no major drawback (apart from the risk of gallstones) attributable to using the Food Monad. There are, however, a few inconveniences. Those mentioned here are common to all weight loss.

After the first 15 kilos are lost, most people report that they have become more sensitive to the cold. That is the first inconvenience reported. There is an explanation: fat keeps you warm, as you realise once it has melted away!  Others point out that they are constipated, but that trouble generally clears up within a few weeks.

The other inconveniences have to do with clothes. You soon have to use new holes in your belt. Then think about renewing your wardrobe — but careful, don't rush, because the loss is gradual. You risk buying new clothes at – 10 kg and others at – 25 kg!
Generally, people rarely complain about it..

We asked our users to rate how difficult they found following this method. Almost all users of the Food Monad rate the difficulty they came across during their journey at between 2 and 4 out of 10.

The method is very simple to follow; anyone who observes it well and is rigorous about what to do will generally meet with no difficulty at all.

It is worth recalling here an essential point that makes the Food Monad unlike any other method. It is not a diet in the usual sense of the word. No counting calories, no forbidden foods, nothing to weigh; some users even mention a playful side to applying the Food Monad.

The usual feelings of frustration or suffering felt on certain diets are not part of daily life with the Food Monad. That is why the period of applying this method is not painful, nor badly lived through, by our users.

On coming off most eating plans, the risk of slipping back is very common. You often hear people say: « I did my diet and then I put back on all the weight I had lost! »

With the Food Monad, as soon as you read the method you will realise that you have in your hands a tool quite unlike the others, and from the very first weeks of applying it you will become aware that the risk of slipping back is bound to be smaller here.

Of course, no one can ever claim that a person or a patient who has lost several dozen kilos will not put a few back on in the course of their life.

But the principle this method rests on is such that it is hard to imagine falling back, with this way of doing things, into the same mistakes as before.

Medical precautions

As the Food Monad brings about substantial weight loss (15 kilos in 3 months), we draw users' attention to the potential, though infrequent, risk of gallstones and cholecystitis.

What is the explanation for this? When weight loss takes place over a few weeks or months, fat reserves are mobilised. During that mobilisation, the liver may secrete more cholesterol. If that increase in cholesterol is not balanced by enough bile salts, the bile becomes oversaturated with cholesterol, which encourages crystals and then stones to form. In patients who already have stones, rapid weight loss can « mobilise » those symptom-free stones. They therefore run a higher risk of biliary colic and acute cholecystitis during weight loss. If they know these stones exist, they should avoid using the dynamic path of the Food Monad and should ask their doctor for advice before starting their journey.

For information. After bariatric surgery, where losses are faster still, up to 30-40% of patients develop stones in the first 6 months. Those figures concern stones detectable by ultrasound, bearing in mind that many remain symptom-free. Some surgeons even propose a preventive cholecystectomy before bariatric surgery in patients with known stones.

Medically speaking, excess weight and, still more so, obesity are often considered risk factors liable, after a certain number of years, to bring on or bring forward the development of certain illnesses. As a result there are generally few absolute contraindications to weight reduction, and using the Food Monad is no exception.

In health terms, then, every user of the Food Monad stands to gain.

Pregnancy should be mentioned, however. It is never a time suited to weight reduction. Your baby comes first.
Furthermore, the Food Monad is not advised for patients treated for certain severe psychiatric illnesses, unless they are more closely monitored by their general practitioner and their psychiatrist.
Lastly, of course, there is no point using it if your BMI is below 18.5.

Keeping an eye on how much weight you put on during pregnancy is one thing, but starting to lose weight is not advised. Your baby growing well comes first.
We recommend putting this plan off for a few months and coming back to us once the baby is here.

It is not necessary, except where you are already being treated and take medicines regularly and continuously for an illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, depression… or any other illness.

Indeed, as your weight comes down, once it reaches and goes beyond 10 kg, it is fair to expect that the treatment you take will need to be lightened, as it may turn out to be too strongly dosed for your new weight. That is why it is worth getting in touch with your doctor once you have lost between 5 and 10 kg. They will monitor and advise you during your weight-loss period.
